Greetings to you all, fellow IT/MISs.

I am running ARCserve 2000 with DELL's PowerVault 120T DLT7000 on a DELL 2450/Windows NT4 server. Backed-up servers are: DELL PowerEdge 2400s, 2450s, 4300s & 6300s.

Here's the lowdown of what I do when executing a 7 day incremental/full backup on Sunday GFS rotation scheme:

1. In Source tab click drive/directory cubes to select them
for backup.
2. In Destination tab click the first drive in GROUP0 (that
is, GROUP zero).
3. In Schedule tab select the Use Rotation Scheme radio but-
ton, then select the 7 Day..., etc. phrase in the Scheme
Name pulldown.
4. Select Incremental in Backup Method and fill in the Madia
Pool name in Media Pool Prefix field. Press Enter.
5. Press Save As... button.
6. Now, I Run it. After saying OK in every popup window,
the submitting is Successful!

Here's what happens:

An error window with the hour glass pops up with "Please
mount one of the following media in Device group GROUP0:

1. <BLANK>

However, all of the 7 tapes were mounted and calibrated prior to the backup request.

Complying, I do the mounting and calibrating again, then go back and proceed with the operational points mentioned above.

The error window pops up again. I seem to be locked in this loop, even when trying to change things or preparing the tape machine from scratch (power it off-on, unloading/loading all of the tapes, etc.)

Any opinion(s) most welcome.

Thankx, John.
