I am running Exchange 5.5 with service pack 4 on a Windows NT 4.0 Server with service pack 6a on both the backup server and the Exchange server. I am also running InoculateIT 6.0 on both servers. I have reinstalled ArcServe 2000 and the Exchange backup agent for ArcServe and also applied service pack 4 on both the Exchange server and the backup server. I have also applied the following patches:
1) QO20824.caz -- NT, After crash, previous running jobs show active
2) QO19741.caz -- NT, Unable to restore all registry files
3) QO19666.caz -- NT, Fix registry handle leak
4) QO19351.caz -- Exchange incremental skipped during rotations
I am getting the following error messages while doing a brick level backup on Exchange:
1) E8602 Failed to read from database. (DBNAME=Individual Mailboxes\Joe Backup\Calendar, EC=Backup Agent Error -- (68) "Error status in named pipe.".)
2) E8602 Failed to read from database. (DBNAME=Individual Mailboxes\Exchange Database Backup Agent\Calendar, EC=Backup Agent Error -- (83) "Remote pipe open failed: time-out".
I don't just get this error while backing up calendars in a mailbox, it happens for different folders in the mailbox. It also happens to all the mailboxes.
I have the backup agent account backing up the brick level with all the required administrative rights. Please help as soon as possible.
Thank You,
