We are in the process of installing Arcserve 2000 to do network backups of one of our fileservers. Since the backup jobs have been configured, it now appears that folders have been disappearing from one of our shares. Is there an option for file/folder deletion within the Arcserve job or anywhere else in ARcserve? I'm monitoring the Security-Audit logs for this drive but have yet to find if its a user or Arcserve that is responsible for this. Any tips/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Within the 'Operation' tab of the ARCserve job options you can tick a box to delete the source files after they have been backed up but this is not the default setting and would delete all files that were backed up not just a few folders.

I'd definetly turn on auditing on the server, assuming you are using a unique account for ARCserve security and not your standard admin account you should get some answers...
