ARCserve 2000: Client agent empty Buffer event

What is this? I have been on AS's site and can not find anything helpful on this topic.

When I am backing up one of my windows servers, I get many of these in the activity log and the backup will hang and not do anything. It hangs and no other job gets to back up.

Can anyone help on this?

I am sensing you applied sp3 to ARCserve but not to the client agent? If this is true could you apply it to the client agent as well.

I'm a bit confused here. How does one go about applying SP3 to the client agent?

Also, I did not have to do this to my other machines, why this one?

you copy the service pack onto the machine which has the client agent, and then run it. Then select to update the client agent.

And I recommend you DO do it to your other machines as well. Always best practise to have the latest version of the agent, and to have a consistent service pack level across the environment.
