Arcserve 2000 certain servers slow to backup

I am using Arcserve 2000 server to backup various servers over ther LAN using an HP Ultrium 200gig tape.

Across the network it can backup "ServerA" 90gig raid win2000 server with an average throughput of 250MB/min another similar "ServerB" of 90gig raid only has a throughput of 22mb/min. I suspect the "ServerB" may have performance issues but have been unable to isolate it

Microsoft support are no nearer to offering a solution to this

Arcserve and win2000 have the latest service packs and all servers are on the same switch, subnet etc and are identical DELL 4400

Any tips or pointers would be much appreciated

Check the network card settings on the slower server. If the card is set to full duplex or Auto, drop it to half duplex, also ensure that if it is patched into a switch that the switch is set to 100Mb/s or 10Mb/s and not Auto-Sensing.
