Arcserve 2000 Brick Level just closes?

Hello,

I havn't worked with Arcserve before so excuse the ignorance but here's my problem and setup:

W2K SP2, Exchange 5.5 SP4, Outlook 97. Arcserve 2000 SP2, Backup Agent for Exchange. When selecting what to backup I choose the expand (+) sign next to "Exchange Brick Level" and then Arcserve just closes completely.

Any suggestions?

The most complex Arcserve agent is - Exchange. If you opened the box, and installed it, that's why it doesn't work. You must install it as documented for it to work.

Yes, I know a lot of the docs are for 6.61, but it's still the same mostly for 2000.

I also had the exact same problem. I was told by Arcserve support to download the patch LO85115.exe on the Arcserve 2000 server. This solved the problem. The build on Exchange 5.5 should be 394.
