Currently I'm testing Arcserve 12 in our lab with exchange 2007. Can anyone give me a speed difference between using arcserve 11.5 and 12 on a live system. Currently using 11.5 a full backup is taking 16 hours!!!! to do a full brick level backup. I don't have the same size store in our lab and the network is setup different so getting a comparison before going live is tough. How much does document level and using the volume shadow copy speed up the process? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Unsure if this is the kind of information you are after but our backup time on 11.5 SP2 were as follows:

DBAEXSIS\First Storage Group Through put 13.04
DBAEXDBVSS\Second Storage Group Through put 313.24
DBAEXDBVSS\First Storage Group Through put 303.54

This takes around 14 hours, however when the McAffee GroupShield for Exchange service is stopped on the Exchange Server the backup is runs at around 331.48 MB/Per min if the service is started during the backup the throughput rate gradually drops down to 14. MB/Per min, leading to a backup time of hours rather than minutes. If the service is once again stopped the throughput of the job picks up again but holds steady at around 200 MB/per min.

More looking for comparison between 11.5 and 12 thru put. Anyone have any comparison information?
