Arcserve 11.5

I just wanted to know if Arcserve 11.5 will run on Windows server 2008

for Windows 2008 you need ARCServe 12.5. Maybe 11.5 will run but it is definitely not supported.

yes, maybe 11.5 can run on windows 2008 but have no support from ca, because is not certified under this operating system, and you do not want a backup software not certified

Our orginisation is looking to backup a windows 2008 server enterprise (64 bit), at the moment we have a backup server running Arcserve 11.5 on a 32bit Windows 2000 host.

Would it be possible to obtain a windows 2008 64bit client agent that would allow us to back up the local disc and system state via our existing solution or would we need to upgrade to 12.5 ?

only 12.x Client Agents support 2008 and they will not work with 11.5 server.
