Hi,

During my training period, I must setup a NAS server to save data out of headquarters. This company actually use Brightstor Arcserve Backup 11.5 and I just want to know if Proliant HP NAS (G4, G5) are compatible with this software (if arcserve can save data on this NAS for exemple).

I want to setup arcserve On a XP SP2 PC and manage my remote backups with this computer.

Thanks

I currently run my arcserve 11.5 sp2 on a NAS server with no issues. I also do all controlling remotely.

Ok!
And Arcserve automatically discovers your NAS server (network) or you must configure it manually?

So arcserve could save data on NAS server since the 11.5 (the company actually runs with the 11.1 but will buy a 11.5 for my project and upgrades).

Does somebody tries to run Arcserve 11.5 on a proliant NAS?

PS: I'm French so excuse my english :)

I think that your NAS must be compatible with NDMP Protocol...isn't it?

If NAS is based on Windows Powered Nas or Windows Storage Server, there may not be compatible with NDMP protocol.
