Arcserve 11.1 location maintenance

Hi

I was wondering if it was possible to assign one media to a location.

We have been using tapes for quite a while, and inevitably, some tapes in a backup sequence are older than others, so, some are due to expire leaving the rest 'live'.

When I assign a single media from a sequence to an off-site location (called 'Expired'), Arcserve automatically adds all the media from that sequence to the location.

Is there a way to assign single media from a sequence without the rest being included?

nope. all the tapes in a set are treated as one.

That's quite irritating.

could be that since they all have the same name and ID they are all treated as one.
