I need to archive the files that I receive. I tried the rule PUT("ZIP","FILE,C:\Mercator6.5\Testing\sample"+FROMDATETIME(CURRENTDATE(),"MMDDYY")+".zip,", GETFILENAME( 837Inbound ))

It creates a zip file having LocalDisk inside it instead of the file which I'm passing. Please let me know what went wrong.

The third argument of the PUT function is the data that you want archive, not the filename. Instead of passing the file name, pass the data. You probably want to use the PACKAGE function.

FROM THE HELP DOCUMENTATION (INDEX=PUT):
Meaning

PUT (adapter_alias, adapter_commands, data_to_send_to_adapter)
