Archiving Outlook Messages

Can anyone advise me how to open an archive .pst folder from a CD.

When i try it says 'Properties for this information service must be defined prior to use' but it won't let me alter the properties of the folder.

Create a new Personal Folder. The one you have created isn't configured properly.

Are you opening the file from a CD-RW? If not, you cannot open an archive file on a regular CD because it is marked "read only". Try copying the .pst file to your hard drive, remove the "read only" attribute from the file, and then try opening it.
