Hi,

I'm curious if there is anmyone out there with the same problem.

We send mail merged letters to large groups of companies. For all companies we keep files in which the sent letter should be archived.

At this moment we dont have a way to store the sent letter or alias to it in our files, other then doing it by hand for hundreds of companies.

Anyone there with the same problem and having solved it? Any tip is welcome!

Thanks,

Koen Bonnet

The most efficient way is probably a bulk loading tool. Livelink has XML Import as a standard function. You need to create XML files with a specific format to load documents. The other approach is to use a product. Syntergy has one and I think that Open Text has one too.

You situation is the perfect example of where a bulk load tool can be effective. If it is a good tool it will allow you to load meta data as well such as category and system attribute values, etc. If you are interested here is a link to the one from Syntergy:
