Several users at a customer site running Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003 at the PCs have reported that their archived messages are disappearing. When I went onsite and examined one of the PCs, I found that the archived messages were present, but in the archive's Deleted items folder. Thousands and thousands of messages that were once organized into folders (which are archives of folders in the Exchange mailbox) are now in a single folder, moved there by the system somehow. I'm on the way to investigate recovering from backup, but I'm really quite concerned about how this can happen. Anyone have a suggestion?
