I purchased a CompactFlash adapter and 64Mb disk. It's the same size as a Nortel software delivery card. I plug my adapter in to my Opt 11C and it complains that it is an incompatible format. I've used these generic disks in class to archive and restore, so I'm missing what Nortel wants to see on the card. Any help?

format the card on your laptop, and it should be ok, if that does not work ini the switch

I've used two different adapters and disks. Neither work. They are SanDisk adapters and Kingston CompactFlash disks. I formated it w/ XP using FAT, but also tried 98 using FAT. They were previously formatted, because I copied the files from the Nortel adapter and disk onto these using my laptop. Nortel uses a Nortel adapter and SanDisk CompactFlash disk. I have not INI'd the switch yet because the Nortel disk works. Any other ideas?

Why want to INI the Sytem.
Just go to overlay 143
type upgrade and then choose something with archive.

good luck.

I didn't want to INI it and haven't yet. It was mentioned in above. I tried the same card in another PBX with no success. I tried archive from LD 143 and it fails. I guess I'll get another brand of compact flash other than Kingston.

SANDisk CompactFlash worked great out of the box. Problem solved!

Thanks
