Archive Python 283888

I use Vertias Backup with a Archive Python 283888 tape drive.
Currently I use 120 meter tapes and my backup works fine.
I am trying to replace my tapes with 125 meter tapes and this is not working.
Backup will not complete to these tapes.
Does anyone know where I can get information about the tape drive itself, I can't seem to find any info anywhere.

I *could* be totally wrong here, but I *think* that the Python is a generic driver for the actual real physical drive.

I encountered a similar problem where Windows was showing it as a Python, but in reality it was a Compaq.

Open the box up and peep out what it really is.

Again, I could be way off base!
