ARCHIVE DRAG & DROP

I wonder if anyone has come across the following when trying to archive files:

We've just installed Lotus Notes 5.0.11. I've noticed when users grab a document and drop it in the Archive folder the document disappears from the inbox but doesn't go to the Archive folder. In the log its says there's been no files moved across. If you go into the All Documents view on your live database you can see the document.

Is this a bug or a 'feature'? Is there a way of making the drag & drop work?

I have a number of folders in my mail database that I move messages into and then archive from those folders. This way the messages get archived into the same folder in the archive database.

We use 5.0.11 and have no issues with drag and drop archiving.

I would not suggest archiving from the inbox. Archiving from folders is much more tidy.

Thanks for that, unfortunately users will archive any way they feel like and even if I do a drag and drop archive from a folder it disappears from that folder but doesn't go to the Archive.

Maybe try creating a new archive file. Just point the archive settings to a new file and location. Then archive one message so that the new archive file gets created. Then try your drag and drop and see how you go.
