Hi,

How can I set archiving on an individual mailbox?

I don't want global archiving, just on a second mailbox. To do this, I've right clicked on the second mailbox, chosen archive according to these settings and set the system to permanently delete items.

Then under tools, options I've set global options to run auto archive every 2 days. Still no luck.

Any ideas on how I can auto delete emails please let me know.

Thx

Archiving does not, as far as I know, happen at a 'mailbox' level - it works on folders. I don't have Outlook 2003 on any system to check, but can you be a bit more specific about what you're doing?

Enjoy,
Tony

I have never actually used AutoArchiving so don't know much about it, but I think what you need is to set up some Rules.

Do you actually want *any* of the mail in this mailbox?

Enjoy,
Tony

only to view it periodically, so I'd want the mailbox to delete all email older than say a week,

Rules would be nice, but I've ran out of room for them! Insufficient space to upload new rules/save rules to server when i try to add another

I don't have an environment to test so I'm not sure I can help any more and will have to bow out and leave room for someone more knowledgeble in this area. Do you not have corporate support that could help out?

I have to say, lastly, that I couldn't devote time to reviewing 1000 e-mails a day (over 2 a minute in a standard work day) and would just bin the lot myself.

Enjoy,
Tony
