I'm using GWise 5.5, and am trying to read archive files from GWise4. I've changed the directory in file locations to point to the old archived files that I've copied in to TEMP. But when I open up Gwise and go into archive there isn't any thing there. Is this because GWise cant read GWise 4 archive files? I've noticed that GW 5.5 files have extensions like 000 or 001, where as the ones I'm trying to open have extensions like FDA, FD8 or FD1 etc.

Thanks
Guy

No, Groupwise 5.5 can read 4.1 archives... If you're 100% sure you're pointing to the right directory, I'm not sure what could be wrong. Have you checked Novell's site yet? Jennifer Sigman

When you configured the GroupWise Client options / File Locations to point to the location of the Archive file, did it ever ask you if you wanted to "... replace the contents of the existing archive?"

If so, you may have inadvertantly flushed the Archive. I have had this happen on a few occasions. Hopefully you have a backup of the Archives so you can go back and try it again.

Just make sure that your pathing to the File Location is correct.

Good Luck!
