I have a following problem:
our user forgot a password and we didn't have a copy of his id file. I am new in the company and have copies of id files just for the users I created. So I created a new user account for this user with same name and assigned it to his old mailfile. Now when he wants to open one of his old archives he gets a following message:
"This database has local access protection and you are not authorized to access it locally."
He can open other archive files normally.
What can I do to open his archive for him?
We are using Domino 5.0.12 and Notes 4.6.6

Thanks!

When your user created a local copy he selected encryption. This uses the private key from his ID file. Im sorry to inform you that you have virtually no chance of opening it. The whole thing will be encrypted on disk with 128bit key. The message means what it says.

Sorry
