Archinving - Does it append or overwrite??

When auto archiving is turned on in MS Outlook 2K - does it append the new information or does it overwrite the data that previously existed in the .pst file?

it overwrwrit the old Data and you get new information in the .pst file. it contine th ecorent information in the Outlook.

I thought that it overwrote duplicate data, but appends new data. So emails already in your archive will always stay...

I tested it. . .

It does append and depending on what you select during the import/export process it may or may not overwrite duplicates.
