Arceserve: More info please

I'm after a little bit of info about Arcserve.
Can Arcserve perform a full server backup without being installed on the server? Is it possible to install it on a PC and then backup my server from there and if so, how much trouble am I going to have?
Anything relevent will be good.

1) Can ARCserve perform a full backup of a server remotely? I.e through a client agent.

Answer: Yes.

2) Is it possible to install it (ARCserve) on my PC and backup my server from there?

Answer: Yes. You can have a copy of ARCserve on the machine you wish to backup and can remotely manage it by installation of the ARCserve manager component only. This means you can administer the backups from you comfy little workstation
