Arce Serve 2000 - Sharing violations when trying to backup JPG's

Hello,

I am using software compression, and when I try to backup JPG's I keep getting sharing violations, and it will not backup the file.

When I switch the software compression off, the files backup okay.

Any ideas?

What Arcserve service packs have you installed?
If none, I suggest installing SP4
Is it only jpg files? Or other picture files as well?
Also can you please post the exact error from the Arcserve log.

1-This is really strange problem?Are you sure this happening only with JPG's and only when compression is enabled?

2-If open file installed on the machine trying to backup?

3-Try to do backup of another machines contain JPG's and see if this problem is occuring.

I don't think there is association between JPG & compression.
