ARC serve 6.1 End of Media message???

Hello,
I have ARCserve 6.1 running on Netware 4.11. Sometimes I get an " End of Media" message when I try to erase a tape.

Also, if I try to put in a blank tape for my backup it fails to format it and gives me that end of media message again. Anything I can do besides shutting the server down and restarting?

you are not alone. we have the same problem.
i dont know how many hours i have taken to solve this problem. and now what`s to do when this message appears:

RESTART THE SERVER.

we have 500 Standalone Netware Servers with Arcserve installed. Everytime this message appeare we restart the server. it`s really lucky [sig][/sig]
