Arc Serve 2000 is quitting with out any warning.

When I try to view the job status or submitting a backup job arc serve management quit with out any warning. After I launch the arc serve management
I did not do any changes to this system and there are no events in the event viewer.
Please advise how can I solve this issue.
Server is windows 2000 SP 3

I just applied the SP4 for this server, but no changes, I have apply SP 4 in another server which I had to restart for to take the changes, however this particular server did not even ask for restat.

Have you tried to reinstall the AS Software?

Hi,

After talking with CA support about this issue I was told to install this patch. QO20824 DATE: 17 JUL 2002
It doesn't describe the problem and I haven't noticed yet whether my problem has disappeared.

Thanks for your help. I have even applied this patch also.
I may reinstall the software and see if that work or not.

I just remember one thing this issue may happen after I install the SNMP on the server.

did you enter the valid license to the CA web site ?
if i get it right, some of the Arcserve services just stop. it happen if, after a while, you dont enter the valid license key.
