Hi all, I have Adobe Acrobat 8.0. I have received several forms - two of them translated to Arabic, and one translated to Hispanic. How can I set it up so that the users can respond to the questions in their languages (Arabic/Hispanic) in Adobe Acrobat? I've never done this before so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Connie

Connie - for this to work, the PC the person filling out the form would have to be configured for the target language. Have you sent the forms to someone whose PC normally works in either language, to see if it works already ?

Ok, that's what I was thinking. We had a company do the translation for us. Thanks Fred.

You're going to have to be able to test the conversion work you've contracted out - so a lab PC with the languages and character sets of your target audience will be a must - and the services of people who know those languages would be advisable also.
When I was IT guy for a furniture factory, we used software to translate memos and policies from English to Spanish, but we always had a senior Spanish-speaking worker verify the translation before we put it out to the workforce. Sometimes literal word-for-word translations don't work or are inappropriate, and it takes a native speaker to spot those and correct them. If you don't have employee expertise, you may be able to get students or faculty at a local college to help with this. Note also that there are regional variations in both Arabic and Spanish - you may need to have your translations 'framed' for the locality of your target audience.
