Arabic Fonts in Illustrator

I've been supplied some Arabic Text in a Word document which I need to set in Illustrator. I've copied it into a blank Illustrator document, highlighted it and selected the 'Al Bayan' font, which appears as standard in the font menu. Everything looks great except the letters are in the wrong order (i.e. it reads right to left in Illustrator, instead of left to right as it does in Word).

This problem is common to all the Arabic fonts supplied as standard, and occurs in InDesign as well as Illustrator. I've worked with the standard Chinese fonts many times and not had any issues.

Do you know of any solutions?

Thanks.

...to add...

...if editing is not required, you will likely have to create a PDF from word, import PDF to illustrator and outline the text to paths (assuming the source text is actually correct)...

...if editing is required, then you will have to do it before you get the text into illustrator...

...otherwise you need the ME versions of creative suite to accurately make edits within the adobe environment...
