Apps server vmware backup suggestions 1

What are you guys using to backup your vmware-virtualized IPO Apps servers?

We use Intronis for all of our vmware ESX/ESXi backup requirements. It's complaining about vmware Tools not being installed on the Apps server, where the documentation states that it's already installed and to not update it. (

Any suggestions?

In the OVA it is installed, if you installed from ISO it is missing.

Well, I actually P2V'd the server. (it's our in-house voicemail/apps server).

I'm going to take a snapshot and install vmware tools from the console and see what happens. I'll report back my findings.

I would Backup VMPro and 1XP, install VM from OVA and restore the backups.
