Apps from IE

Hello,
I need to run an application from with my browser without the prompt.

I have put a webpage on my active desktop and I want to click a picture to bring up word, I've tried calling a link to a file but it keeps asking open or save with the always ask check box blacked out.

Can anyone help me

Active Desktop acts like a webpage, so it's going to behave like a webpage, in that sense that it is unsecure to make it execute something without user intervention, even if its off your own activedesktop, least I was never able to do so, and I see the point behind it.
