Appointment Reminders not working properly

Initially, I thought this might be a problem exclusive to Exchange 5.5, but I have recently upgraded to Exchange 2k3 with SP2.

Problem: Reminders for Appointments and Meeting Requests show up sometimes hours, and sometimes days late.

All computers are running Windows XP with SP2.
All computers are running Office XP (Outlook 2002).

Does anyone have any idea as to what might be causing this, and how to fix it?
