Appointment, Meeting Request reminders not working

I thought this might be a problem exclusive to Exchange 5.5, but I have recently upgraded to Exchange 2k3 with SP2.

Reminders for Appointments and Meeting Requests show up sometimes hours, and sometimes days late.

Clocks on all servers and desktops are synchronized at login, so ruling that out as a problem.

Does anyone have any idea as to what might be causing this, and how to fix?

Do you require more background information?
- PC's running Windows XP with SP2
- Running Office XP (no service packs)
