Applying security on a link

I have created a link as follow:

http://168.125.1.1/xzy/report/projectCost.pdf

in a web page in which a user can access the link after he/she provide user name and password. after the user is approved to enter the site, he/she can click on the above link to view the content of the pdf file. The problem is if someone else copied the URL address, it can open the pdf file so there is no security of such folder.
how can I apply security to the above file

Yes. One method is to restrict access to the folder containing the document, then use impersonation to access the file only AFTER authenticating the user.
