Applying Patches to QT Via Batch Files

Some of network computers have Quicktime installed, and cannot be updated through WSUS
(Windows Software Update Services). Other than using SMS (or whatever the new Microsoft name is), is there a way to apply updates through batch login scripts?

Right now we map printers and network drives through login scripts via Windows 2003 Std Active Directory. Can we add a second batch file to each user/group's profile only for updates located on a network drive? Does AD allow for multiple batch file login scripts at all?

Lastly, what if QT is not installed, how would we prevent the patch from installing altogether?
