applying free distort to extruded shapes in Ai cs3. problem.

Hi,

Hopefully the image will have attached properly.

fig 1. is a shape i have created using "extrude and bevel"

to apply perspective to it i used the "free distort" command but whether i expand appearence or flatten transparency it still renders as in fig 2.

any ideas as to what i need to do to make it come out as a stretched version of fig1. rather than a mess of colours and edges.

...play with the perspective field inside the extrude and bevel options instead...

...what you require can be achieved there much better than a manual transform...

...forgot to mention...

...if each object currently has the extrude applied to them, then try applying the extrude to all objects at once (as a group) rather than individually...

...then have a play with the perspective...
