Hi,
I am having an unusual problem in CS2: While repairing a photo I am using the Dust and Scratches filter. The preview option is turned on and the image shows what it would look like if the current filter settings are applied. I click OK and the progress bar shows the settings being applied. However, when it is done the image returns to its original condition and the filter has clearly NOT been applied. This is happening with several of the Noise filters that I have attempted to apply in the last few minutes.

Whats going on here?

Thanks,
Bill

Maybe your preferences need to be reset to their install state, they sometimes get "hosed" and strange happen.

While holding down the [Ctrl Alt Shift ] keys, Start > All Programs > Photoshop.

A MessageBox will ask "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings File" to which you answer Yes.

The Preferences file will be rebuilt and hopefully your problem is fixed.
