Applying 9206 patch 1

Anyone helps me with steps to apply 9208 patach in Aix 5.2 environment.

Yes...

1) Shutdown the current instance and the LISTENER.
2) Perform a cold backup of the database (as a protective step)
3) Invoke the "runInstaller" program (from an Exceed session, for example, since the installer needs such for its GUI interface).
4) Follow the steps/responses appearing in the installer.
5) Startup the instance.
6) Run the Oracle data dictionary scripts from the newly updated $ORACLE_HOME: catalog, catproc, catblock, catexp, utlxplan, utltkprof.

Upgrade is complete.

This issue was discussed in thread759-1326533. Please read it for details. Based on my experience and that of Ken Cunningham, you will most likely have a problem with an empty owapatch.sql script. You should check and, if necessary, replace it with the corrected download from Metalink before running catpatch.sql on your databases.

I just posted a official guide to apply oracle database patchset 9.2.0.8 there. That guide applies to Soloris and I'm sure the basic steps are all same to all platforms.
