Application Works in desktop but not in published app

I have a maintenance manual program that uses html and Javascript to publish the maintenece manuals. The application works fine through Terminal services or through a citrix published desktop, but as a published app the hyperlinks that call javascript to launch acrobat PDF's does not work. Unfortunatly the hyperlinks don't point straight to the PDF but run a javascript to call the document. It requires msxml4 xml extensions, scriptx, and java 1.4.0_02 to run (all have been installed) I can't figureout why it will run in a desktop but not as a published app. Anyone have some insight?

I have found that the majority of applications that do not work in a published app but do in a published desktop are solved by either changing the working directory or calling the process from a batch file. You may want to try that. Good luck.

That is puzzling. I would use filemon and regmon (free utilities from sysinternals) to see if they can shed some more light on the problem. You can run them from a desktop session and then try to run the published app. They track the application's calls and may give you a better idea what is failing.
