Hi. I am supporting a Symix Progress 7 installation on HP-UX with no support. My problem is that new logins initiated starting around 6:45 AM each day typically can not get into the Symix login screen until 8:30 AM (now). This problem started a few weeks ago and initially was a shorter wait - the time increasing slowly each day until the current time of 8:30. I see nothing running under TOP other than the users waiting to get in. I have another Symix database used by a different group of people on the same Unix box and they have no problems. I conclude that it isn't the box. Logic tells me that something must be running on this particular database, but I don't know what it is. The other interesting thing is, if a user is already in Symix prior to this time, they can work normally. When whatever is holding the logins from occuring clears, all of the people waiting receive the login screen pretty much at the same time. I've checked cron jobs and the Symix background queue and don't see any jobs that would be running during this time period. I've looked at the database logs, but all I see is people logging in and out - no indication of any problems there. Anyone seen something like this before or have a suggestion on how I can determine what is holding up the new logins? Much appreciation for any suggestions.
