Application running in uncompiled state

Hello:
When we open one of our Access97 DB's this is the message displayed to users:
Application is running in an uncompiled state and could experience poor performance. Please inform database admin if you see this message .
Does anyone have an idea about this? I am wondering if we need to compile and save all modules in DB.

Exactly what it says.
You should open any module and compile the db.
Depending on the size and complexity of your code this could make a significant difference.
