After the latest round of three patches from MS, the Application Publishing Service will no longer start. I upgraded to iHEAT 7.1 a few months back and we have had no problem (well, it was starting to run a bit slow). But after the patches and reboot, iHEAT fails. I tried to reinstall 7.1 with no luck. There are no other services that have failed, so I was hoping someone may have a hint?

Hi,

Theres a problem with iHEAT and the latest patches... I think FRS has released an update:

Please see the following information, regarding a fix to the Microsoft Hotfix (KB835732) issue reported last week (this information has also been posted to the Support Sites today):

Microsoft released a Security Hotfix (KB835732) on April 13th. This Hotfix prevented the Application Publishing Service used in the iHEAT and iGoldMine products from functioning.

The following Compatibility Update offers compatibility with the listed hotfix, as well as all previous hotfixes. This compatibility update is available from the EMEA Partner FTP Site, in either the iGoldMine directory, in a folder titled "iGM Compatibility Update" or the iHEAT 7.1 directory, in a folder titled "iHEAT Security Hotfix (KB835732)"

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Richard.

Thanks for the response. One little problem though. My company is so cheap, they would not pay for the Maintenance update and hence, I cannot call them and get the patch. Is there any chance I can use your ftp site to get it???

Thanks,
And I totally understand if you can't.

lol, unfortunately as Europe's top solutions partner, I don't think FrontRange would appreciate it. You could always roll back the MS Patches :D
