I have a BCM400 4.0 that has been built with DID template starting at 5221.

Under DN's I have 5430 as an Application set, yet is listed as model T7316/M7310 under "Active Application DN" port 0120. The next six Application DN's start at 5467-5472 and are listed as model Application ports 0126-0121(note the reverse order).

I need to use 5430 as a DN and need to know what problems I may face in changing the DN. What is this port for?

Any Ideas?

You wont have a problem doing a change DN they are your voice mail ports etc..

I wondered about it being a VM port, but it is listed as a TCM keyset under Model rather than an Application.

I also wonder why there are 37 ports/DN's between 5430 and the group of six other Application DN's.

Why the separation of ports?

I am not totally sure on this but I always was under the impression the the application DN with the digital identifier was the internal modem.

I could be wrong though

Do you have call centre.
On BCM50 systems the skillset extns number is listed as an application DN.
Ckeck this in call pilot.

I am not sure if its the same on 4.0 system as i dont see to many of these

Worth a look

No Call Center.

Not using CallPilot, not even using Gen Del Mbox.

I went ahead and changed DN and no troubles yet.

Thanks for the reply's.
