Hi there,

I'm for some starting points from you guys. I need someone to either build or help me build a application that will resolve the following issues, spyware, adware, virus's and update Windows with hotfixes or SP's. I'm looking for this to be available on a website and also on a CD that can be given to users.

This may sound a little vague at the minute, as I'm open to suggestions.

You're asking quite alot with that question. You want someone to build or help you build this application?

This sounds like a massive project that needs input beyond what would be available from this website.

Microsoft has a tool that companies can use to host their own version of Windows Update. The idea is that network admins can download and test the updates and hotfixes and then only release them to users when satisfied that fixing one thing won't break another. A side benefit is saving on Internet bandwidth because large files like service packs only need to be brought down once to the server and then internal clients can pull them over the local network instead off the net. There is a system policy that you set to redirect Windows Update to your own hosted site instead of Microsoft's. The name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't recall, check the MS web page.

I don't know if this answers your question but maybe it will help you not to reinvent the wheel.
