I have successfully written an application in Delphi 5 that generates Crystal Reports against a nominated SQL Server database. On running the compiled executable file on a Windows NT machine without Crystal Reports installed on it I am getting an error and bombing out (error = 'exception unknown software exception' followed by a
message indicating 'Class not registered.')

I have run the copy of 'MDAC_TYP.exe' as provided on the Crystal Reports Developers CD (Version 8) and copied the file 'P2SODBC.DLL' into the WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or point me in the direction of an appropriate FAQ ?

Many thanks in advance.

Steve.

I've now achieved getting the application to load successfully (by copying the CRAXDRT.DLL + CRVIEWER.DLL and registering them) but when I preview the report I'm getting the error message "Physical database not found.". I've seen this listed as a problem before - can anyone help me over this hurdle ?
Thanks

StevenK: Can you run the report directly from CR? If not then check your ODBC source definition. If so then suggest you check any code which may need to Set Logon to ensure that in code you're repeating same procedure as with CR David C. Monks

I've successfully got the application installed now - I issued the appropriate .dll files for use against the SQL server database.
Thanks anyway
