to begin I'm not sure if this should go under windows 2000, or windows 2003 as my domain controllers, policy servers are 2000, and my file server is 2003.

I'm trying ot improve user login times by redirecting the application data folder. users right now login through citrix(Tsprofiles). the log in times are extremely slow. so i figured that if i redirect the largest part of the profile things may speed up. indeed things did speed up, however i'm getting tons of folder redirection events saying things can't be done

EVID 112
This security ID may not be assigned as the owner of this object.

so i did some digging and found that the security settings for these folders are all out of whack. so I've gotten it to the point right now that everything is correct security wise except the user that is logging in, does not get added to the security rights, even though they are the owner of the folder. I'm not sure what would cause this. but if i manually add the user to the security rights and assign full control my problem goes away. what I want to know is how do i make the users account show up in the security tab by default when the folder is created by the redirection policy.

the policy settings are to redirect to a specific location = \\fileserver\appdata$\
X move contents to new folder
- grant user exclusive rights to the folder
X leave contents when policy is not in effect

Please help.
