How come I get no such method error from this? Or from RemoveAll?

Why would you expect an error from a legitimate call to an existing function? Here's a cut and paste job from on what they are:

Contents.Remove Method Implemented in version 3.0
The Contents.Remove method is used to remove a single item from a Contents collection.

Contents.RemoveAll Method Implemented in version 3.0
The Contents.RemoveAll method is used to remove all items from a Contents collection.

hope that helps. :)

I don't expect the error, but it happens, and I can't figure out why.

I need this to work to clear out Application for a chat system - this is really annoying, and makes no sense.

It is because I am using IIS 4.0 !

I don't know. I assume you are NT 4 but at what SP level. At some point IIS 4 had .emove and .RemoveAll because I used NT Option Pack 4 to install PWS under win '95 and I got Remove and RemoveAll where I did not have it with my original install of VisualInderDev 1.0. Compare Code (Text)
