I have a VB application that uses ActiveX Controls. Today the buttons on one of my workstations within the application would not work. However, the same fuctions provided by the buttons are available from the pull-down menu within the same application. The fuctions all worked from the menu, but not the buttons. I tried reinstalling the application, but that did not work. However, once I restarted the PC, the buttons then worked after launching the application. Any ideas as to why. Someone suggested that the Controls are loaded into the Windows system and get rebuilt when you reboot a Windows box. Incidentally, this application is installed on about 200 workstations for about 5 years and works great.
