Greetings All,

We have a toll free number here that enters a callpilot application. The options given are 1 for english, 2 for french.

If 1 is selected, the application routes to an internal number and the call is completed.

If 2 is selected, it is supposed to route to another extension, which is NCFW to a LD number to our Quebec office.

If you call the extension that is NCFW to Quebec, it rings 4 times, then goes to VM on that number, which is correct

If you get routed through the application, it rings twice in the Quebec office. If the call is answered in those two rings, everything works properly.

If, however, the call is not answered in those two rings, the recorded message "Your call cannot be completed" is played, and the call is dropped. We need this to ring 3 - 4 times then transfer to VM on the remote system, similar to what happens if I call the NCFW number.

Given that the call can be transfered there if answered promptly, I don't expect it's an issue with permissions to transfer LD, CFXA, etc.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

when it transfers via the opt 2, do a trac on the far end.. make sure the remote voice mail has the original dialed dn as a voice mail box of ext..

ring back and actual number of rings is not married.. if the far end can not give answer supervision then it may be rejecting the call and sending that back on the d.. i would look at the far end for the call rejected instead of the pilot.. if the call does get routed to quebec, then quebec will either transfer it to mail or reject the call due to not having permission to reroute to get answer supervision..

Thanks for the prompt response.

One of the problems we'll encounter is that the Quebec office is a small (2 or 3 person) office with just a 2 lines coming in from the local telco. They are not tied back to our switch in any way, and their system is controlled by their telco, who has been less than helpful.

Is there a way to check from my side what number is being sent rather than from their side what number is being received (though I realize the two may not be identical)

yes but it can be tough.. are you on a pri?

the ld 96
enl msgo x with x =to the dch that the call is using outbound...

do you have a single anaolg trunk you can use for testing? i might build one and try changing the ncfw to the acod of that.. just for a test..

OK, Analog line hooked up and NCFW'd

If I call the analog line directly, I get through. If I point the application at it, it bounces to reception.

If I LD20 and try to print the analog tn, I get error sch0805

Yes, we're on a PRI

The logging bit is a bit over my head. How do I determine which dch the call is using, where do I see the log file, and what are the implications of using enl msgo x?

Thanks again

Did you use 9 or the ACOD number?

you need to use the ACOD

If I LD20 and try to print the analog tn, I get error sch0805

SCH0805 Specified TN is invalid.

Your entering the wrong TN

Post the ACD your using.

I've seen the 9 vs ACOD discussion before, but unfortunately I'm not sure what that actually means. Is there an easy way to look up/access ACOD?

"SCH0805 Specified TN is invalid.

Your entering the wrong TN"

Oddly, if I build any analog TN with LD 23, then try to print it, I get this error. If I try to prt the DN, I get:

DN 428
TYPE ACDN

Does this make sense to anyone?

Thanks again

TNs are not built in LD 23. That is for ACD queues. LD 10 is for analog sets.

There is a timer defined in the CallPilot that is only accessible through the distributor tools application.

I don't recall the exact name of the timer, but it controls how long the CallPilot waits to detect answer supervision before it determines the transfer failed. The default value for this timer is around 18 seconds (~3 ring cycles), so calls answered before the timer expires are completed normally, but calls that are not answered are assumed to be failed transfers by the CallPilot.

Allenmac,

That seems to fit the bill perfectly. However, I'm not sure where to find the "distributor tools application". Any idea where this might be?

Thanks

It is a tool on the callpilot server that is only accessible by a Nortel distributor. The username and passwords change on every release.

TThe number your CNFW to is not a DN on a TN it is an ACD Queue in LD 23.

Goto LD 23 and
REQ PRT
TYPE ACD
ACDN 428

and return till it prints and then post that here for us to see and then we may be able to give you a better answer.

Allenmac, that's a good piece of advice. Actually we have a similar type problem. Appbuilder doesn't complete the call when transferring to another switch via a TIE. A recording is heard after three rings. Thanks I'll check that timer out!

Here's the paste for x260, which is where the 800 number goes. 333 is Callpilot. Currently the application forwards to x358, which is an actual phone forwarded to quebec. With any luck I'll change that to an NCFW once this is working.

So 358 is where it is sent if they select option 2?

if this phone is for forwarding to Quebec you don't need anything like (MWA FNA HTA FDN HUNT) as it is Hard forwarded and those items have no effect.

OK, I've changed x358 to what I actually want to do. Instead of a phone, I've just created the ACD in LD 23

(Actually, Ideally, I'd just place the LD number in the transfer box in the application, but that seems to cause a host of other errors and this seems an easy enough work around)

As I understand it, this should take care of the MWA FNA HTA FDN HUNT and TGAR issues.

I've seen the 9 vs ACOD discussion all over the place. How do I determine the ACOD of a copper trunk?

x358 now show like such:

ACDN 358

Do an LTM in LD 21 and it will list all your trunks and if you do a RDB also it will print all your Routes and they show the ACOD.

From the prints you may see some info in the DES that might say local cot or something like that.

It's really just knowing what to look for.
