I have Appleworks 6.2, I use a HP690cxi printer. When I copy a photo from photodeluxe to AW, the photo is garbled. Anyone have any suggestions? Tech support with AW is nonexistant and HP tech support is not helping at all. System is 9.1 Macintosh format. Photo appears on screen but when printed, everything is garbled.

I'm assuming you're using 'copy', then 'paste'.

It might work better to save the image as a file from Photo Deluxe. Use 'File', then 'Export... File formats', and save it as JPEG, TIFF or PICT.

Then use 'File', 'Import' in Apple Works.

Sounds like an issue parsing the JPEG data - assuming it's a JPEG.

Michael makes a good point above - try saving the photo from your photodeluxe application (to the desktop) and then use INSERT under the FILE menu of AW to place the image in your AW document.

A nice shareware app to change the pictures to another picture format is Graphic Converter. Check tucows, download.com or others. I use this app when I have to change the files format.
