Help someone

I have been asked to configure a 3620 router to separate apple macs on our network in order to increase apple network performance. These macs are configured to run on a TCP/IP environment and need to stay this way. My question is how do I do this?

Can I just configure the router with IP interfaces and just enable appletalk?

Or do I need to create an actual apple network enviromnent.

I have also read up on MACIP and IPTalk, but not sure if either of these is a better option.

Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help

Thanks

Sam

To separate Mac device, it is switch config job if you use switch in your network.
Use separate VLAN for them. Create sub-interface for that vlan in router ethernet port.
If they are using tcp/ip, you don't need to route appletalk in your router.
