applet client is not running in browser in rmi

sir
i am trying to develop a chat server .all things
are running well in appletviewer but when i call
the applet in browser there are mny exxception
like secuirity exception,unknownhost exception.
if any one can suggest me what i do and send
some small code of this type of application
,will be very helpfull for me.........

Hope I didn't reply this email too late. Just found out about this thread.

You received those errors because within your applet, I guessed you have used something "unsafe". Like your applet access the user's files, make a connection to databases etc. thus when ran in a browser, it will throw security exception etc.

In appletviewer, it assumes your applet as "safe" does no exceptions are thrown when you run your applet in a appletviewer.

What you can do is to sign your applet.
